Lines of Research and Outreach
ITHA has five lines of research and outreach: History of Anarchism, Theory of Anarchism, Anarchist Memory, Libertarian Theory and Context/Structure Analysis:
History of Anarchism
Studies, more particular or general, that take into account the history of both anarchist thought and action, based on episodes in which anarchists participated, more and less relevant, and/or the anarchist authors themselves.
Theory of Anarchism
Studies, more particular or general, that, based on history, produce theory, both of anarchist thought and action, based on episodes in which anarchists had a more and less relevant participation, and/or on the anarchist authors themselves.
Anarchist Memory
Texts, reports and interviews in which memories of the past and present are exposed, involving militants, episodes and contexts, aiming to contribute to a reconstruction of the past. They do not operate within the framework of the methodological and critical procedures of the human sciences.
Libertarian Theory
Studies that involve method and categories of analysis, social theory and theory of history, based on material produced or not by anarchists, but that, in a certain way, are related to libertarian thought, understood in a broad way, and that allow an adequate understanding of the past and present reality.
Situational/Structural Analysis
Studies that prioritize the analysis of recent or longer-lasting facts (political, economic, social, etc.) from a libertarian perspective and that contribute to the elucidation of conjunctural and structural scenarios.
