John Crump. “The Anarchist Movement in Japan, 1906-1996”
John Crump’s pamphlet “The Anarchist Movement in Japan” (which is a summary of his book Hatta Shûzô and Pure Anarchism in Interwar Japan) is now available in the IATH website. Among the reasons Anarchist Communist Federation presented to publish the pamplet in 1996 we can mention: the “tribute to the continuing struggle of the libertarian movement in Japan, bringing to the attention of English-speaking comrades what is unfortunately a little known part of the global struggle for a free and equal society”, the “great value in providing an example of the development of anarchist theory” and the “record of the debate between the anarcho-syndicalists and anarchist communists in the movement”.
